There was another sound, some sort of hiss. Caria covered her ears instinctively, until she realized it was not one of the stone snakes. A strange odor drifted into her nostrils, and Caria began to hallucinate. Suddenly, the area around her was black, but she was still able to move. Upon seeing light off in the distance, she approached it, wondering what it was. As she walked, she eventually come across a blazing fire as the source of the light. She heard a sound from behind her, and she turned around, discovering that there was a strange armless being that stood behind her, a face of pure terror on its head.
