ii. Venom of Ages

As you keep travelling farther east, you start hearing voices. You glance around, expecting to see yourself surrounded by people, but such is not the case. Suddenly, one voice becomes much more clear than the others.

"What is that you're doing, Reve?"

You look in the direction of a clearing. The ghost from your dreams awaits you there.

"Who are you?" you inquire.

"I'm a distant relative of yours, Reve. I led Gaine into the ruins of Castle Dränsilane twice for your sake. I am the ghost of Unknown Iahae. You do realize that Gaine is following you at this moment, yes? Or, I think he goes by Kerragan now."

You briefly remember the days you escaped the Crystal Forest, along with Gaine. As you were told, Gaine was lost in the forest, and being only a child, he sat down and cried. He then heard someone else crying, and found a much younger girl sobbing for the same reason. You both found your way out together. Neither of you seemed to remember if you had any parents...

"His mind is lost now, Reve. One of the three Arc-Demai has a death grip on his soul."
