vii. Mortal Art

I seem to think the painting on the wall is trying to speak to me. It's an old one. We've had it since the dawn of time as far as I can remember (basically a long time). It's an old Unkardian painting of a lady with long wavy grey locks and a suit of chain mail. In her hand is a sword. It seems rather obtuse, but the thing is, it whispers my name when I turn my back to it. If I try to ignore it, I feel something poking me in the back, as if a long sword was there. Of course, when I turn around, the painting is the same as its always been. I think I'd better get another job. This one pays well, but the master of the house is rather critical of my "suspicious behavior", or so he calls it. If he keeps that up, I'll have no reason to stay.

???. ???

The funny thing is, is that it turns into some sort of vortex when the light is right and the no one's actually consciously observing that painting. Strange isn't it? I think I'll call it "The Strange Old Lady", just for the sake of being consistent with the subject portrayed. Hahaha...
