v. Exodus of the Seraph

It then occurred to Roanin that there was a reason why he was feeling obligated to continue to get lost in the forest. He could remember a little, but not much. It was all a little too hazy. He decided to continue deeper into the woods, hoping that somehow, he could satisfy this internal urge to accomplish something. Then he saw it. A man, lying down in the leaves. Or at least, that’s what it looked like. Upon closer inspection, this man was missing both of his forearms, which had been roughly cut off. The blood caking the ground below the man was dry, so Roanin could only assume the man was dead. Upon even further examination, the man had the crest of the ancient Royal Family on his stained clothes. He was an Isga! But how did this corpse wind up in Unkardia if Castle Dränsilane was across the ocean on Anne? Maybe he was traveling, and some sort of argument took place with a stranger? A rustle from the leaves filled Roanin with fear, but he nevertheless continued on his wayward path deep into the forest.
