i. Malice No. 1 Open Cuts Through the Gamma Crust is about a Sharhodeon Territories-sponsored plan to finally eliminate the troublesome Kingdom of Lavu. A monument is raised for the late John Loksi, the leader who got the Sharhodeon Territories through their recession, following the Day of Revolution, when the traditional government was overthrown. The Dawn Arrives, and a task group parts ways, some bound for Lavu-occupied Meredith, the isle of the Marat Empire, and some sneaking into the vast Kingdom of Lavu itself. Fairthorne, one of the towns on Meredith, is said to hold a passage beneath it that will lead into the catacombs beneath Greyhold, one of the most frequent patrol areas for Lavu's occupying forces, leading the Sharhodeons to believe that there's something important there. Upon arrival on Meredith, the Sharhodeon vessel is captured, but the crew is nowhere to be seen, having successfully sneaked into Fairthrone. The relations between Sharhodeon and Lavu begin to waver, as Lavu suspects an espionage mission. Beneath the Jeramaj Temple in Fairthorne, the spies discover caverns filled with crystals that appear to be half-alive. Eventually, the route to Greyhold is found, in the form of underground river rapids.

ii. Monument Later on, I woke up in a hospital. I knew I was sick, but I didn't realize I was THIS sick. I was found unconscious in Blueheart again, so the poison clearly hadn't been purged from my body like they said before. According to the staff, I was a liability and needed to die. iii. The Dawn Arrives My name is Roy Ansede. I was a detective that was after the criminal Derek Unmattias before I was retired because of my poisoning. I have a son named Ixis and a proxy named Thorn. If you're wondering what a proxy is, a proxy is an alternative version of oneself from another dimension that can be utilized for information or, in my case, espionage. I don't know what happened to Thorn, but I assume that he has become his own person at this point, free from my bidding. I don't blame him.

iv. Investigation at Fairthorne I'm writing this because I was born with a secret ability. Not only can I utilize my proxy, but I can also phase in and out of different dimensions however I please. This comes with consequences though, as phasing can poison someone over time. That's likely what got me, as opposed to Derek Unmattias poisoning me himself. However, I should probably refer to him with the pseudonym people came up with - the wind keeps shifting every time I mention or write his name. There's some mystic power in that name.

v. Malice No. 2 Dr. Uy started as a kind of joke, since no one thought that he was going to drive Blueheart into the kind of terror that it did. Although this information is confidential, I figure if I'm going to die from poisoning (or from crimes against the state), I might as well make an attempt to divulge as much as I can, for the good of the public. My grandson Rufus can probably continue my words.

vi. Biocrystal Caverns It started with a cave that opened up beneath the town. There was a large sinkhole near Central Square that had an ominous amount of disfigured clay corpses in it, as if the town has been constructed over an ancient ritual site. There was something scary about all of it. I realized that one of the corpses had a stone head with the most grotesque facial expression I had ever seen. According to my proxy, Thorn, this was a face associated with "an amber fall".

vii. Following the Underground River Rapids I understood instantly after Derek Unmattias came to town and started murdering people like Joren that he was looking for the same thing that was found. Every night after the sinkhole appeared, a howling would sound off in the night, like there was some large hound or wolf in the Great Marsh. I knew it was a fool's errand to go the the marsh, so me and the other detectives made it our duty to keep people out of the area.
