Info // General Concept:

Improvised into a portable tape recorder during a power outage and imported into my computer with reverb. This album consists of ambience meant to be played alongside other Zeffon albums, the goal being to allow the listener to create their own mix and utilize their own creativity, hopefully finding the same joy I personally find when making this type of music. Specifically, this album is meant to be played alongside "Proteins", but any album can work. This can be accomplished by playing Necessary Foliage in Bandcamp and another track in a media player or something similar.

This ambient album is based off Easter Island, thus the ocean wave sounds and the title. The title also refers to the idea of a forest growing around older Zeffon tracks. Enjoy if you wish.

Va Perila refers to nameless graves.

Proteins 9 is continuation of "Proteins", but different from the single version, which is a tape rip in mono.

Reepa refers to Soulcage from FFIX.

Plot in Elsewhere (as in, a plot of land) refers to the swampy forest around my house. One day it will likely be destroyed to make way for housing developments. Until then, I preserve as much as I can.

The Crash of the Empire refers to a certain frustrating monster-in-a-box from FFVI and the Veldt.

El Gigante is an unfinished moai from Easter Island that would've been the tallest ever erected.

Necessary Foliage again refers to forests and lost woods in general.

Proteins 8 and 2 are remakes of the originals from the Proteins album.

The first piece sounded like what I imagine the red eye storm of Jupiter sounds like with winds blowing hundreds of miles per hour that could shred through flesh like wet tissue. I heard a intriguing bass synthesizer in the background. The second track was more harsh noise with an angelic choir in the background and the final piece was a cacophony of machines. I really don’t like Harsh Noise Wall but I can’t deny that it is art because it can evoke an unsettling feeling. This was not to my taste Dionysus Virus
