It was after the events of Ophelia that Paradise began to crumble. Yvette did everything in her power to prevent the destruction of Paradise, but it was inevitable. A plague began to spread over the kingdom in the form of a mist, and soon, the power of the Big Stick was nullified. The mist made the reptiles and birds, proud followers of their lord and savior, sick, and soon they began to perish. Yvette fled the castle with Captain of the Sulka Sebastian. Eventually, the two, along with Sebastian's wife, made their way west to an abandoned fortress. The mist kept creeping over the land, but in this fortress, they were safe.

Rapture 31:13
In the fortress, there was a strange howling noise, like some spirit of old was crying out in agony. As they ventured deeper, Yvette found the King Dragon, High King over all the Reptiles, in a pool of its own blood. He was still alive however. Opening one of his eyes, the dragon spoke to Yvette in her mind through telepathy. "A human? What is your name, young one?" Yvette responded in kind by imagining the words in her head. "My name is Yvette." "I have not seen a human in a long time. The one who sees the Mysterious Unknown did this to me. He says the Sulka killed all the humans in this fair land. You're a human, so you should leave this place." With that, the dragon died. As Yvette, Sebastian, and his wife fled the fortress, the feeling of eyes continued to bear down on them, making them feel as though they were under some sort of scrutiny.

Colour 28:39
As the party tried to escape the fortress, Sebastian suddenly disappeared. His wife, Mghel flapped her wings in surprise, and began to call out for him, to no avail. Suddenly, a strange crackly voice could be heard. "None of the Sulka are welcome in Dragös". A eerie low wind began to blow through the tunnels. Mghel cried out and looked at Yvette and spoke to her with her mind. "My husband! He's gone! What will we do?!" The wind became stronger, and soon it became difficult to move. As much as Yvette tried to go back deeper into the fortress, she couldn't move very far before being blown back. It was then she heard a voice in her head. "Run. Take Mghel with you." Suddenly, Yvette's head began to ache, and she collapsed on the ground. Mghel shrieked and tried to grip Yvette with her talons, spreading her wings hoping to ride the wind out of the fortress, However, the air current was too strong, and Mghel was blown out of Dragös, with the fortress doors closing behind her. As much as she clawed at the door, it wouldn't budge. There was no way around. Mghel was the last living thing in the land of Paradise, an eagle with no home or companions.

Covet 13:01
Mghel flew for hours before nesting in a tree in the middle of the forest north of the wastelands where Dragös was. The feeling of eyes haunted the lone eagle, but she had learned to cope with it by now. She began to remember Teran, the High Queen that the Sulka had brought into Paradise, a now wretched wasteland. She had had three daughters - Ophelia, Natalie, and Yvette. Ophelia and Yvette were dead, but perhaps Natalie was still alive somewhere. And who was the father? All of these things perplexed Mghel, and she drifted off to sleep. The sun departed, and did not return by the time Mghel woke up. Where was the daylight? A voice in her head quickly answered her question. "Do you desire to see?" Mghel answered yes, but recieved no response.
5.
As Mghel found her way out of the forest, she looked around, realizing that there were still stars in the sky, and the sun was showing no indication that it would appear. She heard a voice, but it was fainter this time. She had no idea what to do, and the landscape was beginning to grow cold from the lack of sunlight.
