i. Creator's Rage Heretmedel, being the ancient name of Ocsania, is now suspended in Limbo, due to the unusual supernatural nature of Unkardia and its neighboring isle, Anne. Eventually, two more of the four brothers disappear, leaving Nathaniel Short, the youngest. Desperate, Nathaniel crosses the Great Marsh to the center of it, where he finds the Weeping Oaken Tree. The Weeping Oaken Tree, is the only known portal to Limbo, according to a man Short met calling himself Dr. Uy. He gets to the island in the middle of the Great Marsh, only to find a man waiting for him... "Going somewhere?" "Who are you?" "The name's Kerragan Cathrop, No. 6 of the Royal Government. I've been away for a while, but I'm afraid that we don't need the likes of you running around, screwing with our plans." "You killed my brothers!" "Well, it's a possibility... Anyhow, your little scheme ends here. Wait, who are you again...?" "I... I can't te..." *BANG* With that, Nathaniel is shot dead and his body is thrown into the swamp. You (Kerragan) think briefly. Nathaniel Short is dead. Isaac Strafe is also dead. His brothers Vaughn and Ryan are supposedly dead, but have never had their bodies recovered. And Dr. Uy. The thought of Dr. Uy makes your blood boil. And then Samuel Cathrop had to be killed. He simply knew too much about big brother Kerragan. So there's only Dr. Uy, and possibly Vaughn and Ryan Strafe. Any opposition to the Overmind Campaign is practically non-existent. As you leave, a hideous howl can be heard across the swamp in the darkness. You only hope it's not one of those brady-somethings again... With his mission accomplished, you report back to Lavu. Having travelled to Unkardia at the very special request of the higher powers, you saw many visions after being escorted by a ghost. The sight of yet another supernatural being was just another day in your line of work. Or at least you could call it work. You're just glad you didn't get caught up in overmind mumbo-jumbo back in the Great Marsh. Unfortunately, according to your colleagues, Number 8 is terminally ill. That's all right. You didn't know him too well anyway. It still bites at your curiousity, though. You decide to look into it. As it turns out, the cause is very surprising.

ii. Ibiksiani's Ghost Number Eight is nearly dead by the time you arrive at his residence in Blueheart. His bones show through his skin, he's covered in cysts and slime, and has turned a brown-yellow color. Though horrifying, you need to keep your calm. After giving it some thought, it occurs to you that the cause may not be some weird venom concocted by Dr. Uy, but something more sinister. You examine the records that state his location every 6 hours, something a Governor of Lavu is required to do. Funny. He hasn't even made close contact with the Great Marsh or its boundries. This worries you. Though the city of Lavu is commonly accepted as the capital of the Kingdom of Lavu, the true official residence of the nine Governors of Lavu is in Nevermore, one of several dimensions that the state knows about, and actively makes sure no one else discovers. The issue with Number 8's illness is that his current state resembles that of a human bradyzoite, a state that should not be contagious from the distance between his common residences and the Great Marsh. The Overmind Campaign may have serious consequences if the biocloud reaches too far.

iii. Wretch Having called the emergency meeting, the other key members of the government body rise. It is not common to see other members of the body, since the only members allowed to be seen by any other member are the ones directly above and below the member's current rank. You for example, is only allowed contact with members 5 and 7. Ryce Ilhid is number 7. You're not sure what the name of No. 5 is. You've only seen him once. After explaining the crisis to your colleages, they and you all agree the culprit must be the biocloud transcending an unknown dimension. You all know that the Seraph Territories discovered another dimension recently, but have been reluctant to share any further details. A bold and perhaps unwise move for such a close ally. You have, however, heard of a strange archeological joint expedition being carried out by the Seraph Territories and Refeäel. You propose that you start your investigation there. The other members nod in agreement.

iv. Mystery of the Great Marsh On your way to Unknown Falls and the barren southeast, the mystery of the Great Marsh still troubles you. You realize that the entrance to Limbo is a dimensional hole just underneath the Weeping Oaken Tree. What puzzles you is how to create a human bradyzoite. Maybe when Governor Number One wanted to start the project, they dragged a human out of Limbo, which corrupted his soul or something. You're not entirely sure what a human bradyzoite even does. You arrive at Unknown Falls. The massive waterfall is incredibly quiet for such a huge torrential downpour. The only life found in the lake below are Giant Squid, indicating that the water pressure within the lake is extremely high. And most of these monstrocities are usually on the surface. Maybe the air pressure above the lake is incredibly high, compressing the water until it can sustain life that's only found at the bottom of the ocean. But you don't want to find out. Unknown Falls is incredibly ominous and creepy, even for you. You only know about the squid because you can see them from the cliff you're on. Suddenly, you see people with pickaxes. They're mining in the cliff wall below you, which seems incredibly risky to you, given the high pressure theory you just came up with. You make your way down to the general area, where you see a cave. Upon entering, a man greets you. "Hello. You would be Kerragan, I presume." "No. Just a wandering traveler." "Nah. It's definitely Kerragan." "I don't know your nationality sir, but where I come from, deciding what a person has on their mind when that person already knows is considered rude. I'm just a wandering traveler, and that's what I expect myself to remember, not you." "You must not remember me. I'm Ulysses Paragi, head of the Government of Ibiksis Island." "Ulysees? So what are you doing here with the Seraph Territories and Refeaël?" "Your spies are either getting rusty, or we're just getting better at concealing our information for your espionage. This is a three-nation endeavour." Your spies are getting rusty? You make a mental note of this. "Oh. Well, as you already know, I am indeed Kerragan. Out of curiosity, have you lost anyone to the giant squid down there?" "A few men. All of them convicts." "Oh, right. Your country doesn't hold in respect for anyone who's already been in prison. We could use that kind of social mentality in Lavu." "So, what did you come here for?" "We have a rather large problem. We were curious about that dimension that the Seraph Territories have found as of late." "It was a dimension they named Anzé. I think they kept it hidden from Lavu for various reasons. Anzé is a dimension that harnesses two dimensional elements, not one, so the scientific value of Anzé is pretty large."
5.
v. Samuelus Mansion "I'm assuming water is one of these elements. That's all we've found is water-based dimensions filled with swamps." "This one was actually filled with crystalline rocks so perfect, that their national religion deemed the site holy." "Perfect crystalline rocks? That's highly unusual and possibily very unstable. The Seraph Territories shouldn't dabble with Anzé too much longer, the rift created if it collapes could cause severe trauma in their region." "Yeah, I agree. But I shouldn't talk about them like that when they're all around me." "Psh. Anyhow, what did you come here to find?" "Another dimension, actually. We think we're very close to the source, but it's buried within this mountain." "A dimension in Unknown Falls, eh? Sounds foreboding." "Indeed."

Trivia: This album is more or less a tribute to the things that influenced me as a child, including certain mystery movies, and epic role-playing games. The album name is an excerpt from the quote "Above all, avoid the moor". Also, the sequence of artwork (from Something Wicked to Graghgorra) is meant to represent an individual braving everything on a quest for their own identity.
