The second single for the month of September.
The earth began to reek of rotten meat after the Dark Comet and the blue moon had passed. A new species was beginning to leech away at the life energy of the Earth, causing many repercussions for the people on the surface. Crops died, and harvests were small. Supposedly, on Meredith, the island of the Marat Empire, the locals were burning their children alive. According to an ancient superstition, the power of life would fill the air after it was extracted from nearby people. At the Temple of Jeramaj, a decree was made by Vant Ruan, making murder legal until the hardships plaguing the island had passed. We could hardly believe our ears once we heard that this was occurring. Oddly enough, Rowland suddenly decided to send a peacekeeping force over to Meredith, and we were to be included.
