The Unanswered Question

Greetings from the Sharhodeon Territories (or what's left of it). My name is Rufus Maye, and I am the scribe for my friend Lauren, who resides in the Seraph Territories. As you may have read in the cryptic beginnings of this piece, we in Zeffon have thoroughly refined our understand of how we believe dimensions work. All of the credit (or most of, to avoid giving her all the credit; she did work with others) goes to an Unkardian scientist of Anne Library fame. She is none other than the mighty Adelais Isga, with a little help from her colleagues, as I have implied. On the 5th of March, around the year 300, Zeffon made a close encounter with what Lydia Isga refers to as "The Lunar Plane". No one knows what it is exactly, and Miss Lydia has been relatively silent, despite her commitment to science. Founding the Library of Anne is no small feat. Apparently, only women know where it is. Anne is an island off the west coast of Unkardia with a battered history. Lauren has been there, but as a resident of the Seraph Territories, she is sensitive to sunlight. Most towns are underground in the Seraph Territories, as sunlight sensitivity is something all of the residents share.

In any case, Lauren was led to the Library by Adelais and Lydia Isga, since she apparently qualified to see the cursed Diary of Fair Onrac. Lauren has made me privy to the information held within. I'll explain some of it now. A little backstory: according to my proxy (I'll give an example of proxy after a bit here), a dimension is fluid, meaning its location and borders fluctuate wildly. This said, a dimension's criteria can be found in other places. For example, Zeffon's handroteim was located on Earth at one point. A dimension originates from the Nofolkomé, a Tree of All Things. A dimension's "borders" are not immediately obvious, and do not necessarily cause physical change of the surroundings. A walk from one end of a hall to the other may be a dimensional change, despite never having left the hallway. Thus, there needs to be some sort of criteria for each dimension's actual existence, as I referred to earlier using those odd words. If you're wondering why I'm not using pronouns for those, I'll explain later. However, it was by this concept of dimensions that a woman, a key component of another dimension, came by the Diary of Fair Onrac and gave it to the Anne Library.

According to Lydia Isga, a lof od Adelais' work was derieved from this volume. She and Adelais, along with the late Queen Mathilda their mother, were the only individuals who could read past Fair's cryptic scribblings (yes, Fair is the name of a young man, not a descriptive word). According to another sacred tome called The Tales of Inejeheim and Igen, a tome that has been (luckily) printed in small quantities (around 75 copies exist at the moment), Igen was the mother of Fair Onrac, and the tome tells more about Fair than his own diary.
