1.
One Reve Isga decided one day to visit the Castle Uaa. She found it was devoid of humans, but filled with reptiles and birds. A small bird landed on her shoulder, and told her that the major spiritual Cashew Tree in Paradise (the first one ever grown) was wilting as of late. Reve did not know what to make of this.
2.
The bird told her that the Big Stick was an old branch from that tree. Reve had heard of the Big Stick before, and how whacking problems with it instantly solved them. She refused to believe that the solution to Zeffon's problems was that simple.
3.
Soon, the portal that was being manufactured in the frontier town of Barra became reality. Now, people could travel to a new dimension called Revenence.
4.
They took their children and their belongings and traveled to the new dimension. Soon, Zeffon was empty, save for a few people. When it was apparent that most of the people of Zeffon had made it through the new portal, the portal was closed off, and anyone that may have been allowed through was now left behind.
5.
There was one individual who somehow got left behind (she was in the ruins of Dotajmari at the time). She wielded the Forest Element of the Sharhodeon Forest, and was hiding from the trees that sought to take the element back.
6.
Luckily, the Sulka found the young woman, and took her to Paradise. She initially didn't believe in the Big Stick either, but she began to believe when she was taken to Paradise.
7.
Paradise is the only world beyond Zeffon to be perfect. Other worlds that were created by humankind were imperfect and were destined to meet the same fate as Zeffon, as Zeffon was created by humans who rose above and saw themselves as Gods and Lords.
8.
Paradise soon became the closest thing that Teran, the rescued woman, had to a home. The Big Stick was enshrined on a pedestal in the largest palace in the land of Paradise.
9.
Teran didn't know what to think, but she quickly became enthused and it became clear that the only way to save her fellow humans was to have them believe in the Big Stick.
10.
On that day, Teran was crowned High Queen of the Sulka, as she was one of few humans who believed in the Big Stick's tremendous power. She had the ability to convince her fellow humans that the solution to all their problems was less complicated and convoluted than many were initially led to believe.
11.
In the space of 50 years or so, Teran began to become very old, and she died on her 87th birthday. At this point, she had had three daughters: Ophelia, Natalie, and Yvette. Ophelia, the eldest, became High Queen after her mother's death. Natalie disappeared when Ophelia was young, and Ophelia led a search party to discover the fate of her long-lost sister. Yvette was left in charge of the kingdom.
12.
Ophelia leads the party outside of Paradise, and into the nearby Gothoh Forest. The Sulka guarded the forest reverently, as this was their original home. Near the Gothoh Forest was the Jala Woods, a strange dark, dense forest with ruins of old houses in it.
13.
Ophelia knew the dangers of the Jala Woods, but led the party past the Gothoh Forest into the Jala Woods regardless, as she was certain this was the point of disappearance for her long-lost sister Natalie.
14.
As they crossed the Homroge Plain, a small clearing and field east of Gothoh Forest, with the Jala Woods further east of that, a soldier with a broken broadsword and a very pronounced limp approached from a small hill. His skin on his hands was a very dark blue, and he seemed to be in a lot of pain.

about

In certain places I go to, I find circles of stones. Sometimes, I wonder curiously about their origins. I find out later when suddenly, I fall to the Earth. A misty haze builds up and I'm unable to do anything about it. Slowly I lose consciousness. When I wake up, I wonder whether anything has happened at all.

Of course, nothing like that is ever true.

As I rummaged through some of the foliage, I found what I was looking for. Somehow, I dreamt of a field of wild roses, and soon after I went to find them. As I looked closely and smelled the beautiful aromas, I looked up and saw a figure on the plains far away. It looked to be in pain and was distorting in various grotesque ways, but I couldn't be certain at this distance. In a sudden lack of attention on my part, the figure mysteriously vanished.
