Final Comments by Translator Thorn Ansede:

Dränsilane's Disynxiym will have a profound effect on the rest of us for the rest of time. This not necessarily because the writing is artistic or aesthetically pleasing, but because there's a certain... power hidden within his work, and within the being of Dränsilane himself. His real name, not the current one he gave himself, shall be revealed in due time. However, it would be best not to pry too much, as he who knows the least knows the most. Believe me. I've tried.

My best advice is this: Treat the universe as if multiple things can happen at once. We as humans are incredibly singular on our ideas, especially when we consider being in multiple places at once, or the fact that we may not exist at all, since if we did not, we would have no consciousness of it...

ii. Recording Tropical Storms

There is a puzzle to be had throughout the world of Zeffon, for the alternate identity of what may be perceived to be a full man is naught.

He cannot walk, but he can run. He is an element.

Overall, the mysteries that surround the world of Zeffon and its existence are many, but one has to wonder, why does Zeffon exist?

Many have said it is a world for the insane, one that people of insanity find themselves in after traveling too far into the abyss that is the mind.

iii. Traveler

In the future, he is risen, associated with the train that escorts the dead to the afterlife. What is he?

I've been mulling over these puzzles for a while now, and I can honestly say that it has me stumped. There are a couple of clues that I have stumbled upon however, and given that I myself exist within the dimension of Zeffon, I have to wonder the purpose of my existence. My name is something I have never quite known - it sounds odd to not know someone's name, but for me, I cannot recall.

iv. Source of Recording Tide

The crystal that harbored such an atrocity was broken.

I call myself Ixis however. My true name was something I was stripped of when my parents died. When my parents were killed by a mysterious army of shadow warriors, they hid me with zeal. According to them, I would never see them again, and I was told not to pursue them into the shadows.

v. Origin

I am grey, I am black, I am the bringer of misery upon the shoulders of wounded soldiers.

I became a soldier later on until I was wounded in a battle - I had an arrow shot into my calf, and has permanently caused lameness. For the time being, I was then in Inejeheim, recovering and reading about the lore that is Zeffon.

There was a day however when a man by the name of Gero came to the Castle of Inejeheim where I was being kept, asking to see me. He said that he had come to express his condolences for the loss of my parents. I told him that I was going to see them again somehow. I just had to!

vi. Starvation

It approaches like a unexpected wind.

Sadly, Gero informed me about the nature of my parents' demise, how they were beaten by a shadow army, and how an ancient weapon had done them in. He began to tell me about the connections of Zeffon to the "alternate dimension" or the "true dimension".

vii. Pehuén

The old ship of souls displayed the prized possession out in the open. The first character of the name initiates the characters that follow.

Anyone who is lost to shadow shall be lost forever according to him. He knew this because he had tried to save his own sister when she was lost to the shadow. There was a tale about a certain castle near Unkardia that cursed whomever the shadow of its ancient steeples touched.

viii. Slash-And-Burn

Like the misery I evoke in real life, I have a purpose.

This castle, known as Castle Dränsilane, was built in the year 1405, for the son of Norfell, at the time known as Uaa. Unlike many of his peers, Uaa had a strange obsession with poisons, despite being a kind young man. But when the Castle was built, and Uaa sold his soul to the Creator, he became known as Dränsilane.

ix. Place Where ? Died

These people are poisoned with the knowledge of scathing sun.

Dränsilane is never truly dead, yet he is never truly alive. It is because of this factor, Gero told me, that no one can be rescued from the world of shadows. Once you die in Zeffon, you disappear forever. I had heard about Dränsilane and his ambitions, and so I decided to ask Gero about Dränsilane's involvement with the shadow armies that had plagued Zeffon for the longest time. Dränsilane, according to Gero, was still dangerous enough that he dared not utter his origins.

x. Ocokblnkihpei

Though strong, he was weak.

He did, however, say that there is a desert in the west that contains clues on how to overcome the shadow soldiers so that no one else can be lost. The beast that lurks in the desert there is one of the stone giants formed by the creator, according to him. I was to ask the giant if I wanted more information. Gero vanished suddenly without a trace.

xi. Drought

The drought initiated the obstruction.

After I recovered, I traveled to the Continent of Eadei. Using Rufus Ansede's old writings as a guide, I found myself in Desert A (as it was known by the locals). However, according to Rufus' writings, the A stood for Affirmation. I was soon to find out why.

xii. Mettera

What the future holds is indeed terrifying.

I found the stone giant of Desert A, which turned out to be a giant statue of a tiger. The sun began to become intense as I walked towards it. I then presented my question to the stone tiger:

"Who is Dränsilane?"

A period of silence followed as the wind suddenly vanished. I saw chips of rock begin to fall from the giant stone tiger, as if the sun was causing it to dissolve and break apart. I then heard this response in my head:

"You must free us. We have been under siege here for far too long. The wind keeps blowing the rain in our direction, and we cannot stand it."

A large rock fell to the ground, and I realized the tiger was crumbling, and I was going to be pressed for time. I asked a different question:

"Where are my parents?"

The response came quickly.

"They no longer exist. You would be wise to forget them."

I asked a third question:

"Why do you crumble under the sunlight, statue?"

The mysterious response came swiftly.

"You see not the rain because it is the sun!"

xiii. Maíz

Indeed, there were only four of these sons. They realized their error from the one. The fifth was forward and unmodified in name.

I traveled after seeing the Giant of Desert Affirmation and then I moved to the desert of Re Affirmation, or Desert RA. According to Rufus' text, there is a book known as "255 Words", that has a commandment in it that states the following:

"The Deserts of Affirmation and Re Affirmation concern sight and knowledge. The first gives thee knowledge, and the second sight. The first gives prophecy and the second confirms it."

Unsure of what I was about to uncover, I went to the desert of Re Affirmation. Unlike the previous, which was full of tiger statues, there is only one tiger statue in the Desert of Re Affirmation. It, according to Rufus, looks sadder than the others, and it possesses the name of "Äiouley", given to it by the locals. The locals insisted that I do not talk to this statue, but I told them that it was imperative that I figure out how to rescue my parents from the shadow world.

xiv. Poeunhb

The key word is the law, but is irrelevant.

As I approached Äiouley, it got VERY quiet. The winds died and the sand around me began to quiver. My head was suddenly assaulted by mental imagery of people being torn apart in ways so grotesque, that I threw up and fell to the ground. The words "LEAVE" continued to bounce around in my head as I ran away from Äiouley.

xv. Fomitiporia ellipsoidea

In essence, the namesake is one of many different daughters of the eastern way, but is in FACT western.

I found out later from the doctors at Inejeheim that the arrow that had been shot into my calf had a slow acting poison on the tip, but I remain convinced that I should live. I shall continue this journal after my recovery, as I will my quest.
