"The difference between two coins with the first being the sum of one and two twice: this is the key to Dränsilane's will. The second number is always peaceful. The first is not." That's what the spirits say underneath the Temple of Faces. I'm not entirely sure what it all means, but I've ventured down to the 8th floor before and heard the whispers.

ii. Generys
Generys Miasma is about a village of people north of the Kingdom of Lavu. They eventually established themselves, but they constantly lived in fear of the forest surrounding them, and the malevolence it boded. The leading family controlled the village, and had just had a daughter named Sarah. Tribesmen in the woods however, grew increasingly hostile. Nowadays, there's nothing left, save for a curious glowing spiral in the dirt. This landmark became known as Heayth's Spiral.

Few who'd stayed on to establish the CIA in 1947 were all gone. Ames's moment of death may last for three and a half days, generally one.

iv. Prospekti Ritual
In a sense, I've always though the Temple of Faces was an interesting place to go. The main entrance lies inside the Crüdza Well. Following the well down to the bottom leads to an eerily lit swamp where there are a lot of frogs, but also a strange insect-like creature who apparently destroyed the village at Heayth's Spiral. The creature is very docile, but can be irate. It supposedly originated down on the 10th floor of the Temple of Faces, where a lot of the minor beasts of Zeffon are born. Major, or more malevolent beasts usually spawn on the 25th floor. On the 49th floor, there is a door that leads to the Black Room, which is the source of all evil.

Now, the insect-creature I mentioned before hates one thing above all else: the sound of wind in the trees. That's one reason it has created the odd swamp below the earth where there is no wind. However, the village that used to exist where Heayth's Spiral is called Saroc had this sound near it all the time. Given that there is an entrance to the temple of faces near the ruins of Saroc, the creature could not bear to have Saroc exist. It emerged from its lair and attack the village, with nearby tribesmen taking advantage of the chaos to loot what was left. There were two survivors however: Pana, a young man, and Sarah, the daughter of the leading family.

vi. Sarah's Burial
Due to the conditions of the North, mist enveloped a lot of the forest around the Ruins of Saroc. This happened to a degree that the mist blocked out any air for the two survivors to breathe. Pana went missing for a week while he was searching for food. Sarah quickly became ill due to the oncoming mist and died before Pana returned. Pana buried Sarah near the river, the only place the mist seemed to avoid.

vii. Shadowreaper
A wanderer named Tucker found the ruins of Saroc and began to search for clues as to what happened to the village, when he stumbled upon Sarah's shallow grave. Pana's corpse was lying on the soil, as he had recently passed on. Tucker looked about the clearing, and then he saw a strange cloaked figure that beckoned that it follow him.

The figure pointed at a small valley that it had led Tucker to and then vanished. Tucker suddenly grew violently ill at the sight of it, with small graves with tiny rocks as headstones littered about the clearing. The mist suddenly enveloped Tucker, and soon, he too died.

ix. Ratayu
In the only other village around Saroc, there was a great fire. This village was known as Onis, and no one survived the mysterious blaze except for one young girl and her brother. The brother Isaac quickly grew sick due to the mist, and the girl carried her weakened brother to the spot near the river so that the mist would not follow them. It worked, and the young boy recovered. It was very common for people to get sick due to the mist, but it had never been so thick before. Knowing the way to the capital city of the North called Ratayu, the girl (named Teran) told her brother to wait near the river so that he would not get sick. She disappeared into the mist towards Ratayu to get help.

When Teran arrived in Ratayu, she was very ill. The mist had flowed into the town and there were corpses everywhere of people who had met a similar fate. She eventually went to the capital building to see if anyone was alive there. Unfortunately, everyone was dead, including the leaders of Ratayu. "It had appeared suddenly", said a note on the town leader's desk. "We were unprepared for this much mist".

Teran returned to the river where she found Isaac still alive. He seemed hungry, but he also seemed to be relatively at peace. Issac noted that the mist did not dare venture near the river for some reason, and the two wondered why that might be.

All in all, Teran and Isaac soon escaped from the bitter problems of the mist. Isaac became one of the Four Brothers, but the story of his escape continued to remain a mystery.
