i. Cowbell Mechanics (War Factory) It was here that the destruction of the ideal Pathier society began to unfold. The unrest following the kidnapping of the Cathrop's daughter and another event that led to the death of an entire town’s population caused due to a series of unfortunate events. A group bent on destroying everything we had worked for appeared from out of nowhere, calling itself The True Calignosity of Moth. They said they were there to bring about the apocalypse. No one wanted to believe them, but the Pathiers began gearing for war regardless. “He” would often wonder what existed beyond the waters off the cliffs nearby the mountain town of Rasoe. The sea was incredibly vast, but at the same time, it seemed so… tiny. This man was correct in assuming that there was more than just water to the ocean. If he had traveled to Ocsania and begun to gaze upon the north east, he would be looking in the direction of Icrifeani, the country that had just lost its colony on Ibiksis Island to the rebels that controlled the isle. If he had the power to view beyond that, he would run into the Seraph Territories, a rebellious country that scoffed at the implementation and execution of international law, beyond that was the notorious Kingdom of Lavu, the largest and one of the most successful states in the world. ii. Archer Revenge, Pt. 2 The True Calignosity of Moth was a truly un-divine and dark group of unknown assailants. They did everything to make sure that the Pathier Kingdom would eventually fall, whether it was through information warfare or brute force. Many of the villages on the outskirts of the Pathier Kingdom burned for days. Then the other leaders discovered the base of operations for the evil forces, an abandoned structure out in the middle of the desert northwest of the capital city: Du Omerideöth. If it wasn’t not enough that the source of the evil was on the Kingdom’s back doorstep, the group of leaders wasn’t operating at their fullest capacity. Leader No. 6 was dead due to the heartbreaking disappearance of his daughter over ten years ago. Leader No. 8 was missing in action. Despite this, the remaining members make a commitment to destroy the enemy or die trying. With a speech given to the members of the central town, the military quickly regrouped and prepared for an all-out war. Later, the leaders received word that the True Calignosity was building a bomb to destroy the entire Pathier country. The decision was made to sneak within the ruins of Du Omerideöth and destroy the bomb where it was being made. Within a few hours, the military that had moved out clashed with the armies of evil while a secret party went into the compound unnoticed.

iii. Burning Earth A battle was already underway in between the ancient ruins and the town. There was no shortage of fire and loud bangs were heard from all around. Luckily, the party that meant to infiltrate Du Omerideöth managed to do so, despite all the mayhem. Inside, it was a lot quieter. The leader signaled for the party of four to press forward. Soon, they reached the bottom room of Du Omerideöth. It was remarkably well lit, despite being miles under the ground. Suddenly, the party was overcome with a mist that began to suffocate them. Undeterred, the foolish party began to travel deeper until they finally found what they were looking for. It was a tunnel that led into what was known as the Temple of Faces. Thus, they concluded that the True Calignosity of Moth must be the same as the nameless Kingdom led by Vagard Tekraona. This nameless Kingdom was commonly referred to as the Kingdom of the Undead, for no man had entered and managed to escape.

iv. Prelude (11-6-09) In any case, something didn’t seem quite right. A low rumble could’ve been heard if the party had stuck to scouting the area around the temple like they were told to, but refused to do so, opting to go inside the temple instead. The commander allowed this to happen, but the party members were traitors nonetheless.

v. Bombing Campaign The low rumble preceded to get louder, meaning that the bomb must have been deployed at that point. Indeed, a shadow hovered over the Pathier Kingdom cast by an enormous dragon, one so enormous that the entire wingspan blackened the sky. The party rushed to the top of the ruins. The armies of the True Calignosity have been defeated by the Pathiers, but up above, large birds and other fell flying beasts came bearing explosive ordinance that began to light up the Pathier town. Suddenly, just as it started, it ended, with a large explosion blowing up the town entirely. The campaign against the True Calignosity was no more. The party that betrayed their kingdom, whether it was intentional or not, would end up scouring the world for a millennia, trying to find someone to take them in. No one would allow such hypocrites to stay in their houses. Thus, after 100 years of wandering, the party became no more.

Dragös 02:49
vi. Dragös Reve suddenly woke up from a dream. The grass around her was covered in fog. She was home at last. There were a couple of things to do, but she could finally enter Castle Norfell. Years ago, she had traveled to the Chaoslands in order to destroy the Kingdom of Lavu. Now, after 100 years of nomadic life, she was back home. A strange sound was heard in the woods behind her. She looked back. Those woods were the Crystal Forest, full of various tragedies that had befallen those who had entered them over the years. There was actually someone who she was looking for who had entered the woods in search of the boy Roanin. Roanin disappeared years ago from Rasoe much to his stepmother’s dismay, and never returned. Tereban, one of the Terror, had decided to find this boy along with someone he referred to as “Nightmare”. Moving towards the trees, a pleasant breeze whipped through Reve’s long golden hair. Yes, it was good to be home.

about

Cowbell Mechanics is about a civilization that destroys itself with the use of a bomb. The story is meant to parody that of the Manhattan project.
