i. Matheus This album is about the current state of the Marat Empire, and how they use their riches to hide from the world's problems. Emeroch began acting very strangely after we arrived in Meredith. He began acting indecisive and often second-guessed himself. I began to slowly realize that Gaine’s soul, with which Emeroch was combined, was slowly beginning to return. This would mean that Emeroch himself would be erased and killed as Gaine finally reemerged. This meant that I would probably die as well, and Reve’s son, Vari Cathrop, would become himself again, effectively killing me. I didn’t bother me, though. On that day, I would pay for my mistakes. That day however, would come before I expected. The streets of the city of Matheus were in chaos. Bones littered the windy cobblestone roads like trash. People were sobbing and peacekeeping forces were constantly busy. Vant Ruan didn’t seem to mind the invasion as Rowland had hoped. Rowland issued a decree soon afterwards, annexing the Marat Empire as part of the Kingdom of Lavu, causing for massive protests. Vant Ruan still did nothing about this, and instead relaxed in the Presidential palace.

ii. The Ritual Illness Underneath the palace was a sprawling network of chambers and torture devices, conceived in the days of old when the Marat Empire was ruled by the War Party. The destruction of this party came later, but not after many lives were lost underneath the cobblestone streets. Civilians or political prisoners, no one was safe. Supposedly connected to the bottom of the temple is an even larger network of tunnels and chambers, one that connects all the way to the planet core. This is called the Temple of Faces. Suddenly, the church bell tolled, and I began to feel nauseous. I stumbled down a path and struggled to see. My conscious was fading away from me. Vari Cathrop was returning. Then all was black… ”Wake up, you fool…” I awoke to see myself as I was before I stole Vari’s body. I must’ve been dreaming. ”Hello…” My clone grinned. ”Finally, I’m going to get a body of my own…” I just smiled back. ”What’s so funny?” the clone asked, turning its head. ”I’m not sure I care about whether I die or not. Frankly, I think I’ve committed enough damage as is to this world. To the civilians of Cathrop, to my sister…” ”So you’re honestly willing to die?” The clone looked befuddled. ”Yes.” ”Then…” The clone suddenly started to fade and then was gone before it could utter another word.
